Releases Original Lincoln Assassination Trial Papers has released its new collection, The Investigation and Trial Papers Relating to the Assassination of President Lincoln. Available for the first time on the Web, these original records provide a unique view into one of the last major events in the American Civil War.

The collection includes the original records of the trial, including copies of The Daily National Intelligencer, which reported verbatim every question and every answer given during the ensuing court-martial of eight of the co-conspirators of Lincoln's assassination.
